Meridian Group International announces expansion of its European Cloud and Managed Security Services business in Europe and the UK
One of IBM’s fastest growing Platinum Partners in the UK, Meridian IT launches the expansion of its UK-based IBM Power cloud by opening a European private cloud – based from 2 data centers in Dublin, Ireland. The EU private cloud is complemented by the ability to connect directly to public cloud hyperscales such as Azure and Google. “This expansion will enable us to serve better the growing needs of our EU clients and IBM customers in Ireland and beyond. With the opening of these EU-based cloud platforms, businesses that need their IBM compute infrastructure in Europe but recognize the restrictions that now exist in other regions, such as the Netherlands, can achieve their objectives with Meridian IT. The new IBM Power and storage private cloud has no restrictions in terms of capacity and accommodates any workload size, large or small.” said Andy Haley, Meridian IT UK Managing Director.
In a 2nd announcement, Meridian IT announced the opening of a new Hybrid Cloud Management and Security Operations Centre in Milton Keynes, England. “The new Client Management Centre is complementary to our existing client facility in Watford. It allows us to better support clients that want a 24 x 7 hybrid cloud management and cyber security managed service. The new facility, alongside that of our Watford operation, offers a comprehensive range of private and public cloud management services and has an extensive cyber security threat management capability”.
